The Premier League is widely considered as the biggest and best league in the world, with young talents from all four corners of the world flocking to England for the rags and riches that come with the English top-flight. One of the more recent evolutions in the Premier League and world football, has been the inverting of the full-back, with many teams now adopting the Pep Guardiola driven tactic, to create overloads in midfield and stop counter attacks at the source. Lots of teams now tend to go for an inverted full-back on one side and a more traditional full-back on the other. 

Chelsea have developed a reputation for selling off their academy stars in recent seasons and it’s proved an extremely lucrative strategy. Cashing in on academy graduates represents pure profit for Premier League and UEFA financial regulations and Chelsea have earned an incredible €479m from selling homegrown players since the start of the 2014/15 season. 

One of the biggest surprises in Chelsea's system since Enzo Maresca's appointment has been the use of Malo Gusto in an hybrid defensive-attacking role. The Frenchman's athleticism allows him to gallop up and down the pitch at an impressive speed, and his seemingly limitless stamina enables him to do it for the best part of 90 minutes. But the decision to deploy the versatile defender in the final third has sparked some curiosity amongst Chelsea fans, given that Gusto is yet to score a senior goal in his 155 career appearances (*excluding 19 appearances and two goals for Lyon's B team).
